Alan Harris’s Sugar Baby is a fast, funny, and ferociously heartfelt one-man show set in the underworld of Cardiff. Marc is a small-time dealer with big problems—dodging debt collectors, reconciling with his past, and hurtling through a day that might just change everything.

Brought to the North East for the first time, this production combined sharp direction, minimal staging, and dynamic visuals to deliver a lean, high-impact hour of theatre.

Direction

Natasha Haws’s direction kept the pace brisk and the energy high, carefully balancing humour with emotional undercurrents. The physical space was used inventively to support the show's rhythm and intimacy.
